Kinspire Holdings LLC is a Southern California holding company founded by Uthpala Kinivita. It owns four operating businesses: real estate, commercial cleaning, media production, and technology services.
The short version
Kini started his first company at nineteen, a trucking and transportation business in Sri Lanka. Since then he has built, run, and exited businesses on three continents, and the four Kinspire companies are what came out of that.
Sri Lanka
Born in Sri Lanka, Kini moved to London at six while his mother completed her Master’s degree, then returned to attend Trinity College Kandy. He began a college degree before finishing high school and graduated at nineteen with a foundation in Information Technology.
He joined Virtusa in Colombo as an intern in November 2015 and spent just over two years in their Global Technology Office, moving up to Business Analyst and Junior Project Manager working on robotic process automation. That is where the habit of defining a problem before building anything came from.
Australia
Melbourne came next, for a Master of Business Analytics at Victoria University. To fund it he founded USK Properties in April 2018 and grew it into a property maintenance business covering landscaping, cleaning, and painting.
Property became the real interest. He obtained an Australian real estate licence, worked briefly with a brokerage, and gained hands-on experience flipping houses. Alongside that he consulted for Dynamics 365 Group as a BI and BA functional consultant, building live reporting for management out of Power BI and CRM data.
California
Kini secured United States permanent residency and moved to California with his high school sweetheart, who moved from practising law in Sri Lanka to qualifying as a US attorney.
In Long Beach he partnered with an experienced investor to build LA Basics 360, a customer-focused janitorial and property maintenance company, and ran it as Managing Director. After scaling it over a two year project he secured his equity and exited to pursue real estate full time.
He passed the California Department of Real Estate exams, joined the Orange County REALTORS association, and now works as a real estate agent with Century 21 Affiliated out of Irvine. Cal DRE #02343809.
Why the name
Kinspire is Kini and inspire put together. It started as the name for the real estate business and became the name for everything.
